Prehistory/Archaeology parties
Age 7+, 1 hour and a half, maximum of 15 children
I have had a very kind offer from Karl Lee, one of Britain’s leading prehistoric craft experts (my hubby) to provide prehistory themed parties. This is really something unique to Make and Take, and quite special. Not only will these parties be fun, they are also relevant to any primary age children as prehistory is now back on the National curriculum.
The craft your children will take part in is the prehistoric craft of Flintknapping; the production of stone tools.
Your children will make their very own flint tool (of a type designed to be blunt!) which they will take away with them. Karl runs workshop days for Primary Schools all over the UK. If you would like to see his website please visit www.primitive-technology.co.uk
